Steve is a born Devonian who completed a formal Engineering apprenticeship with Petter Ltd, eventually gaining professional qualifications and membership of the Engineering Council (UK). He returned to Devon in 2000 where he started making small items and conducting repairs for friends and neighbours.

Using both  the latest technology and the tools of the traditional Blacksmith, this has gradually expanded into a small part-time enterprise which includes light fabrication, hot and cold formed ironwork, and repair/refurbishment of existing equipment. Bespoke items are designed using 2d or 3d CAD software.
